About the Role A You will provide a full range of administrative support to the MRI department as required in accordance with the policies, procedures and values of St Vincent’s Health, including but not limited to reception, patient accounts, result distribution.
Reception duties, answering telephone and email queries.
Projecting MRI’s caring, professional image to patients and referring clinicians.
All reception tasks should be performed mindful of the need to maintain a steady and efficient level of activity and efficiency within the department.
Efficient patient scheduling/allocation of appointments which enables maximal utilisation of equipment and staff.
Registration of patient arrival for his/her examination along with peripheral tasks to ensure an efficient and speedy passage through the department.
Telephone enquiries and direction of calls to the appropriate areas of the department when necessary.
Classifications for this position will range from HS1 - HS17 ($58,442 - $63,138 per annum)
Your Contribution
VCE or equivalent
Previous experience in medical administration (desired)
High degree of computer literacy
Customer service and multi-tasking experience
Knowledge of medical terminology (desired)
Demonstrated abilities in working in a fast-paced environment
Professional telephone and reception skills
Previous experience in invoicing/receipting
A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History heck, or willing to obtain

The Medical Imaging Department (MID) is a busy imaging department providing a wide range of diagnostic and procedural imaging services to inpatients and outpatients of SVHM. The department operates across several locations within the Fitzroy campus; MID, St Vincent’s Private Radiology and the MRI & PET/CT Centre.
